False Teachers (1) part I
"Success-N-Life"
I'm going to start a series on "False Teachers" begining with this one. Just like the ongoing series "Idolatry: Marian Prayers". Although I have yet to post #2.
Future editions will (hopefully) be on the more serious side and primarily dealing with biblical refutation. But I'll start the "False Teachers" series with some humor.
Some very good humor.
In Jude Ch.1, we read:
Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. (emphasis mine)
Now, I am not sure that Robert Tilton would qualify as this type of false teacher although he most definitely is one. In Jude, notice the "For certain people have crept in unnoticed..." portion of this passage. If Robert Tilton "crept in unnoticed" I would have to seriously wonder if that congregation was a part of Christ's body. No, I don't have to wonder.
Let me illustrate:
And:
In part II, I will offer up biblical refutation of this false teacher who, along with many others apparently, "...long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God..."
