Idolatry: Marian Prayers (1)
I have read and heard many prayers offered up to Mary. Not the true, biblical Mary, mother of the Lord Jesus Christ. I mean the superstitious, vividly deceptive idol of the Pope of Rome.
This Marian prayer is offered up to "Most Holy" Mary for the "conversion of America." Pay close attention to the words and titles given to this blasphemous idol who the late Pope John Paul II revered more than all others:
A prayer for the conversion of America.O Mary, Mother of Mercy and Refuge of sinners,
The more you know what scripture declares about who only is holy, who is merciful, and who is sovereign over all creation the more bitter the taste in your mouth should become. Notice Mary is said to be "Mother of mercy," called the "Seat of Wisdom," given the power to "enlighten the minds." The Pontiff's subjects are commanded to pray to Mary that she "finish the work of their conversion." An obvious satanic back hand to the work of Christ on our behalf. The Pontiff further commands to be prayed, "to accept all the truths of our Holy Faith, and to submit themselves to the Supreme Roman Pontiff, the Vicar of Jesus Christ on earth." Vicar means "substitute" or "one who stands in the place of." The Pope declares to the world he is in the place of God. Commands them to obey under penalty of death* and eternal damnation. Mary is credited with "thou only hast destroyed all heresies in the whole world." Right.
we beseech thee,
be pleased to look with pitiful eyes
upon poor heretics and schismatics.
Thou who art the Seat of Wisdom,
enlighten the minds that are miserably enfolded
in the darkness of ignorance and sin,
that they may clearly know
that the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Roman Church
is the one true Church of Jesus Christ,
outside of which neither holiness nor salvation can be found.
Finish the work of their conversion
by obtaining for them the grace
to accept all the truths of our Holy Faith,
and to submit themselves to the Supreme Roman Pontiff,
the Vicar of Jesus Christ on earth;
that so, being united with us in the sweet chains of Divine charity,
there may soon be one only fold
under the same one Shepherd;
and may we all,
O Glorious Virgin,
sing forever with exultation:
Rejoice, O Virgin Mary,
thou only hast destroyed all heresies in the whole world.

All of these titles, all of these abilities, are only attributed to God in the Bible. Only our great God could have these as He alone is holy, all-powerful, ever-present. Just the phrase "Marian prayers" should be a huge red flag to the Bible believer. We don't pray to anyone but God Himself. I can't imagine a deeper insult to when the temple curtain was torn in two upon Christ's completed redemptive work, Rome's response is to pray to a sinner. Christ is not worthy of their affection. Mary is. Christ is too judgmental - Mary is not. Christ won't listen unless Mary were to make Him. Why is it then, that the whole world is led a stray by this harlequin of harlots?

The Church of Rome authoritatively teaches that her Sovereign Pontiff is rightly called “Most Holy,” and “the most holy Roman Pontiff.” This, together with usual titles of “Holy Father” and “Vicar of Christ” is the full sense of the definition of the Antichrist given by the Apostle John. “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.” The Pope, in assuming these titles to himself, is against the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Father in heaven by purporting to possess these very offices. Such haughtiness also blatantly breaks the New Covenant Law of the Christ, “call no man your father upon the earth: for One is your Father, which is in heaven.” Christ Jesus declared, "One is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren” The Pope declares himself “Most Holy,” “Holy Father,” and “the true vicar of Christ.” The Pope’s claim is similar to that recorded in Isaiah 14: 14, “I will be like the Host High.” The Scripture speaks of such a one denying the Father and the Son by assuming the titles of both. In the words of Scripture we proclaim, “Who shall not fear Thee, O Lord, and glorify Thy name? For Thou only art Holy: for all nations shall come and worship before Thee...”
The more Marian prayers I read the more I think of the prophet Isaiah, chapter 42:21-24 read:
Set forth your case, says the Lord;
bring your proofs, says the King of Jacob.
Let them bring them, and tell us
what is to happen.
Tell us the former things, what they are,
that we may consider them,
that we may know their outcome;
or declare to us the things to come.
Tell us what is to come hereafter,
that we may know that you are gods;
do good, or do harm,
that we may be dismayed and terrified.
Behold, you are nothing,
and your work is less than nothing;
an abomination is he who chooses you.
Rome's Mary is nothing, and her work is less than nothing. An abomination is he who chooses her.
*The Roman Catholic See still has the authority to meet out death sentences upon heretics.
